This year’s climate change reggae festival which is going to take place at the Attouga Mini Stadium on Friday 18th November and Saturday 19th November 2022 is going to be graced by a special artist from Finland.
Charlotta Kerbs has composed couple of albums in Europe singing reggae music in her mother tongue which is Swedish and English. In an interview with this medium said she feels comfortable in Freetown with “sunny people” and good vibes. She said she was motivated by the fact that the country is listed among countries prone to natural disaster due to climate change.
“I resonated with the theme of the festival”, she said, adding that she will give her best at the two days festival with songs about taking care of mother earth.
This is volume two being organized by the Sierra Leone Consulate Planning team in Finland, Ripsta Culture with support from Africell. The organiser Sorie Obai Kamara aka Obi-phrase told this medium that the festival is gearing towards complimenting government’s effort towards mitigating climate change.
Artists in Freetown includes Selasi and Mike Tango they affirmed that the said show is a milestone contribution they can make to change the narratives toward climate change which should be every body’s business.
