FIFA Member Association Course Officially Concludes in Bo City With A Strong Message on Integrity

After ten days of intensive learning, practical drills, and high-level discussions, the FIFA Member Association (MA) Course for Elite Referees and Instructors/Assessors has successfully come to an end in Bo City, Sierra Leone.

The course, which ran from 16th to 25th June 2025, brought together some of the finest refereeing minds in the country and was facilitated by top FIFA instructors. The program focused on various key areas of officiating including fitness, offside interpretation, handball decisions, positioning, decision-making, and overall game management.

The final day of the course was highlighted by an in-depth session on “Integrity in Football”, emphasizing the importance of honesty, ethics, and professionalism both on and off the field.

FIFA Lead Instructor Evangelist Felix Onias Tangawarima commended the participants for their outstanding performance, discipline, and eagerness to learn

“I am highly impressed with the level of participation and commitment shown during this course. Sierra Leone is building a solid foundation for the future of refereeing. These officials are now better equipped to uphold the highest standards of the game.”

For the first time in Sierra Leone’s history, all participants passed the FIFA fitness test  a major milestone that highlights the growing capacity and professionalism of our match officials.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), in collaboration with FIFA, extends its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders, participants, and support staff who contributed to the success of this landmark course.
