FIFA MA Course for Referees and Instructors Begins in Bo City

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) is pleased to announce the commencement of the FIFA Member Association (MA) Course for Referees and Instructors, which officially began on June 16th, 2025, in Bo City.

Running until June 25th, 2025, the course has brought together 30 elite referees and 25 instructors for an intensive training program focused on capacity building, technical development, and physical performance.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Acting Chairman of the Referees Committee, Dr. P.K. Muana, who applauded the participants and facilitators for their dedication to advancing refereeing in Sierra Leone.

A historic milestone has been recorded for the first time ever in Sierra Leone, all participating referees successfully passed the mandatory FIFA fitness tests, marking a 100% success rate a groundbreaking achievement in the country’s refereeing history.

The SLFA remains steadfast in its commitment to raising officiating standards through continuous professional development and international collaboration.
