FC Kallon Football Club will today welcome Mighty Blackpool at the Angola town playing field in a crunch tie in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
The Cavaliers are going to this match after suffering a shocking defeat to Lamboi Football Club at the Lungi Central field, while Mighty Blackpool is coming into the match after enjoying a two-win over East End Tigers at the Government Trade Center field as the win take them to second position in the Premier League table.
FC Kallon has been so inconsistent in this year’s Premier League that they currently seat in the eleventh position in the ongoing Premier League and that has affected their ambition for the title race.
Tunde Scott the General Manager of FC Kallon said the team is in high spirit to welcome Mighty Blackpool Football Club at the home ground with a different approach, but they want to start their campaign properly when they meet with Mighty Blackpool and nothing is going to stop as they have been in focus to get all three points.
When asked about the inconsistency of the team he said yes they have started poorly this season and had one of the worst performances but as a team, they will improve as the league progresses and that will soon be put to past noting that they have been affected by injuries concerns and key players have recovered and fully fit ahead of match day today.
He called on Football fans and more especially FC Kallon supporters to storm Angola playing and support the team as the players are ready to give them all three points.
Alusine Bala Kargbo said his side is more than ready to face FC Kallon Football Club, a match that gives them the gripe to close with the current leaders and they are highly prepared to take on their opponents.
When asked about injured concerns he said the team is injured-free and the players are in high spirits and determine to face their opponent.
“We respect our opponents FC Kallon, we know they are difficult teams and have a good squad, but we are hopeful that the boys will do the needful to get the three points”, he assured.
He said this season what have transformed the team are match-winning bonuses and the players have been moved by that, noting that the management of Mighty Blackpool team has given them the belief to deliver and fight for the Premier League title.
On Saturday at the Lungi Central Field, FC Johansen Football will welcome Bai Bureh Warriors in a match cracker as the Warriors are in good form going to this fixture and they have collected huge points in their away travel this season, while Johansen has been inconsistent in this first half of the season and they are currently in (13) position while the Warriors are in the third position and a win will take them to (20) points.
At the Brima Attougia Mini Stadium on Saturday, Port Authority FC will play host to Luawa Football Club at the 4:15 pm kick-Off, and the Waterfront boys Port Authority are going to this fixture after enjoying a back-to-back win in their two matches at home, while Luawa FC last won against Freetonian FC by two (2-1) both teams are highly determined for get win.
At Koidu Town Field, Diamond Stars FC will host Wusum Stars at home they are coming into this fixture with high determination and they have enjoyed a good home run and they are yet to lose at home since the start of the Premier League season.
On Saturday in BO, Bo Rangers Football Club will host Central Parade Football Club as the Rangers are looking to extend their lead in the Premier League table, and they were unbeaten so far in the league, they go into this fixture with a winning mentality the last match they won against East End Lions FC away from home and they yet to lose at home this season.
The Rangers are leading the Premier League table with five points clear and Mighty Blackpool is in second position in the league.
