FC Kallon Football Club on 10th September 2022 defeated LesBufflesdu Borgu of Benin by a goal to nil in their CAF Confederation Cup opener in Benin.
The match starts with a pace play from both teams in the first half of play as they were looking forward to getting their opening goal of the match.
Philip Conteh scored the opener in the 64th minute of play through a beautiful play in the midfield area and converted the chance to give the away side FC Kallon the much-needed away goal and look strong now to make it to the next rounds of the competition.
Before the first goal of Philip Conteh, the host gets a series of chances that could have given them more goals before the hour mark in the match, but the defense of the Benin team frustrates the away sides.
LesBuffles de Borgou gets a couple of chances in the first ten minutes that could have given the home advantage to beat the away side FC Kallon, but they squandered all their chances and now have a huge task to turn down the defeats at home to get the rest away from home when they take on the Sierra Leonean team FC Kallon on the 17th September 2022 at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia.
FC Kallon is expected to touch in Monrovia on Monday and continue their Preparation for the return leg at the SKD Stadium as they will be braced up to host the Benin team, their first leg away win has given the belief that if they do homework well they have the chance to progress to the next rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup.
FC Kallon is not new to CAF Competitions the last they take part in the competitions and they progressed to the seconds and miss out to make it to the quarterfinal when an Ivory Coast team knock them out of the Competition.
