Fatima Maada Bio Receives Relief Items From Nigeria’s First Lady

In a bid to support the effort of Her Excellency the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone in promoting peace and support to women, youth and children in the country, the African First Ladies Peace Mission, through its President Dr. Mrs Aisha Mahammadu Buhari the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has donated 40 bags of rice 10kg each, 30 Cartoons of Nutrition Milk, and 2000 exercise books to Her Excellency the First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio for onward distribution to fewer privilege children in Sierra Leone.

The presentation was done by the Nigerian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, His Excellency, Henry John Omaku Fcim to Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio at her Goderich Office on Wednesday 29th March 2023.  

In his presentation, the Nigerian High Commissioner, extend gratitude from the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Her Excellency the First Lady of Serra Leone for receiving the donation.

He said that the donation is born out of the good work Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio has been doing in promoting and protecting women, girls, youth and children across the country.

He added that the donation is to complement the work of the First Lady of Sierra Leone and to show how appreciative they are of her good work.

Receiving the donation, Her Excellency the First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio described the donation as timely, more so when the Muslims are observing the Month of Ramadan and the Christians are observing Lent.

She expressed her gratitude to the African First Ladies Peace Mission for their support towards her course in Sierra Leone.

Dr. Fatima Maada Bio went on to thank and appreciate the President of the African First Ladies Peace Mission Her Excellency Dr. Mrs Aisha Mahammadu Buhari the First Lady of the Republic of Nigeria for her dedication and commitment towards keeping the peace mission alive.

The First Lady assured the High Commissioner that the donated items will be distributed evenly to the deserved beneficiary.
