Freetown City Council Football Club will on Friday 10th February 2023 welcome local rival Port Authority Football Club at the Brima Attougia Mini Stadium.
Both teams going to this fixture after securing wins in their respective matches over the last weekend and the two are training at the same venue; while many have described the match to be a clash of the Titans.
Freetown City Council Football Club has grabbed seven points in their last three matches, while Port Authority FC has grabbed nine points from the last three matches both home and away from home.
Moses Conteh the Assistant coach of Freetown City Council Football Club talking this medium sounded confident that his boys are going to get all three points, noting that they are going into the fixture with no injuries concern and the team is in high spirits to face local rivals with the high-level belief that his boys are going to win the match.
While, Hassan Miller Sesay Assistant coach of Port Authority Football Club said the match against FC FC is going to be difficult considering the form of their team now, but they are highly determined to get all three points against a team that always prove difficult when we meet. He said his boys are in high spirits to take the Council team, as of now there are no injuries concerned and that all the players are safe and ready for the match day.
On Friday at the Wusum Stadium in Mankeni, bottom side Wusum Stars Football Club will welcome the League leaders Bo Rangers Football Club in a mouth-watering encounter, Bo Rangers are going into this match after settling to a (1-1) all draw with Central Parade at home in Bo mini Stadium las weekend, while Wusum Stars lost to Kono Diamond Stars away from home. Wusum Stars are currently at bottom of the table and looking forward to getting to winning ways to a side they last defeated at the same venue by a goal to nil.
The match has been described by Football fans as a clash of Titans because the two sides don’t want to lose to either side or both team’s players are always ready to display their football skills.
A win for Bo Rangers with see them extend their lead in the log of the Sierra Leone Premier League table by seven points clear of second place Mighty Blackpool, while a win for Wusum Stars with see them move from the relegation zone.
The head coach of Wusum Stars Mohamed Lamin Kamara will be under immense pressure with Fans as they will be anticipating a win after series of poor results in the last couple of weeks in the Premier League.
At the Port Loko Mini Stadium, the Bai Bureh Warriors will welcome East End Lions Football Club. The Warriors of Bai Bureh Football Club has been in good form during the first half of the Premier League compare to last season, while they are in fourth position in the table and a win against East End Lions FC will see them in third position with a comfortable margin, while a win for East End Lions will see them move from fifth position to third position as well.
The last time the two sides met at home East End Lions won the match by a goal to nil, but this time around East End Lions are facing them at the wrong moment, with key injuries concern from the Lions team as most of their key players will miss the clash.
