In a cordial exchange with President Bio on Twitter, the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen has been thrilled by the tremendous achievements the Bio Administration has incurred specifically for the establishment of the Free Quality Education Project.
Due to such excellent performance in the education sector, the European Union Commissioner Jutta Urpilainen has exclusively extended an invitation to President Bio to attend the launch of the Regional Team Europe Initiative on Teacher Training sometimes next week.
“Sierra Leone’s achievements in education are impressive. I invited them to attend the launch of the Regional Team Europe Initiative on Teacher Training Next Week”, she said.
In his response, President Bio joyously extended thanks and appreciation to the European Union Commissioner for such cordial and fruitful dialogue. He expressed that the European Union Commission has been an important partner in supporting Sierra Leone’s National Development priorities in Human Capital Development, inclusive governance and green economy.
President Bio continued that EU-Sierra Leone’s partnership for education for a more resilient society ready for seizing green development opportunities has contributed to Sierra Leone’s impressive achievements in the education sector in the past four years.
President Bio, therefore, registered his government’s undying commitment to working with the European Union Commission in promoting their strides in teacher training and all-around education advancement. “We are confident that our partnership will spur sustainable economic development and social progress in Sierra Leone”, he concluded.
