Mabinty Kamara, Aminata Turay, Sulaiman Alhaji Barrie, Thomas Hillary, Mohamed Marrah and Hassan Yik Kamara made another appearance before magistrate Mark Ngegba of pademba road court in Freetown on two counts charges to wit conspiracy contrary to law and dishonesty obstructing electricity supply contrary to section 68 of the national electricity Act No.16 of 2011.
It was alleged on the charge sheet that on diverse dates between the 26th and 27th June 2021 both accused persons conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit electricity theft and fraudulently caused electricity supply from the electricity distribution and supply authority to be diverted to their various houses.
Detectives Sergeant 1516 Abu Conteh recognized all the accused and recall on 2 July, 2021.
He said whiles on duty Inspector Barrie M.D attached to the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority Unit (EDSA) at the said station handed over to him three old EDSA meters with serial number 0356435, 16400410433, 16400359457.
He said, he took possession of them and register them in the Court exhibit book against serial number 131/2021 and the said exhibit was in his custody waiting to tendered in court
The meters were tendered in court to form part of the evidence.
