Twenty-one-year-old Ibrahim Sara Conteh, an electrician, has been discharged of a larceny charge by Magistrate John Manso Fornah of the Pademba Road Court No. 2.
Conteh was charged with larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916. According to the particulars of the offence, on Monday, 15 December 2025, at a building site in Mothaim Village, Mountain Rural District, Western Area, Freetown, the accused allegedly stole the sum of seventeen thousand leones (Le 17,000) from a backpack belonging to Ishmael Dumbuya.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused during his first court appearance, he pleaded not guilty.
However, the prosecutor, No. 18235 Thoronka K.K., together with the complainant, informed the court that they wished to offer no further evidence against the accused, stating that the matter had been resolved amicably.
In his ruling, Magistrate Fornah said that having heard from both the prosecutor and the complainant, he was satisfied with the resolution and therefore discharged the accused.
