Sierra Leone Senior National Team is set to take on the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau in the last match in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on the 11th of September 2023 in Bissau.
According to a report reaching this medium Eight Foreign-based are set to Boost Leone Stars Camp Ahead of the Guinea Bissau clash, the match is going to be an Academic match as the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau had already qualified for the tournament that is set to be hosted in Ivory Coast in 2024.
Leone Stars of Sierra Leone is going to use this match to kick off their World Cup 2026 African campaign in November this year as they are going to face off with Ethiopia away from home on November 13th, 2023.
Among the eight players who are going to boost the Leone Stars camp are (1) Queen’s Park Rangers right-back Osman Kakay, Al Shahaniya midfielder Alhassan Koroma, AEL Limassol attacker Jonathan Morsay, Amadou Bakayoko who is on loan to Scottish side Dundee FC from Forest Green Rovers and Mohamed Buya Turay and three others to make this trip.
Early last month the Sierra Leone Football Association confirmed that John Edward Keister would remain in charge of Leone Stars in their final Group A AFCON Qualifiers against Guinea Bissau this month.
Sierra Leone Senior National team Leone Stars’ last outing ended in a defeat against Super of Nigeria by (3-2) in Liberia.
