EDSA Staff Dies After Fallen Off An Electric Pole In Bo

Abu Tucker a contract staff of the Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA) Bo Office attached to the fault team has in the early hours of Thursday 23rd February 2023 fallen off an electric pole at Lawabu Section in Bo and died on the spot. According to reliable information the deceased whose duty including his colleagues of the fault team of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority Bo Office was to amend faults on electrical poles within the municipality of Bo.

He was in the early hours of the aforementioned date called by one of his colleagues to carry out an unofficial work “Mamie Koker” at the Lawabu section in Bo.

The information maintained that the deceased was climbing the said electric pole for the first time using a locally made ladder, noting whilst he was performing his duty up the said pole the locally made ladder broke with him and during the process he fell whilst his hand hung on the electric wire which shocked him to death.

It happened because there was no experience person to push off the deceased from the broken ladder he stood.

Meanwhile Abu Tucker is survived by his wife who according to family sources will deliver at any time from now. His remains were conveyed by the fault team of EDSA Bo Office to Njala Mokonday for burial. The management of EDSA has not commented on the issue because the head of the Public Relations Unit cannot talk for now owing to his bereavement.
