Alimamy Sesay and three others made their final appearance before Justice Simeon Allieu on the 1st June 2022 at the Anti-Corruption Commission Court on Misappropriation of public Revenue and Conspiracy to commit a corruption offence, failure to comply the applicable procedures relating to management of funds.
The matter was for the Defense Counsel H.M Gevao Esq representing the 5th accused person to continue his cross examination with PW1 (Hassan Kamara). And was asked about what the 5 accuse told him when obtaining statements from him about his designation as he was the revenue officer at EDSA and that he reported directly to his immediate Boss Mr. Musa Kamara.
However, Prosecuting Counsel M. Sow Esq objected to the line of questioning from the Defense Counsel to the witness, as the questions were from the 5th accuse statement (exhibit D) obtained at ACC and that the witness should be giving the statement to refresh his memory and it was given to him. He further put it to the witness that the 5the accuse works in the commercial department and not the financial department but Prosecution Witness 1 replied no and that he had worked at the finance department. He ended his questioned on some cheques transaction between the 5th accuse, Mr. Musa Kamara and Mr. Mohamed Sheku Turay who was alleged to have received cheques from the 5th accuse person.
There was no re-examination from the Prosecuting Counsel.
Prosecuting Counsel for the State was M.Sow Esq whilst H.M Gevao, AD Kargbo, Fornah.Sesay and Charles R. Williams for all accused persons respectively.
Matter has been adjourned to the 15th June 2022.
