Komba Bandawa made another appearance before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba road court No.2 in Freetown on one count to wit Illegal Abstraction of Electricity Supply contrary to law
Prosecution witness number two on the Electrical Supply theft matter, Detective Police Constable 10109 Francis Abraham attached at the Criminal Investigation Department has examined steps he took to investigate the accused Komba Bandawa.
Led in his testimony but Assistant Superintendent of Police Hawa Bah, the police witness recognized the accused person and complainant in respect of the matter.
He said on the 14th September 2021he was in duty on the said office when the complainant attach to the electricity department arrested and brought the accused person with one change over switched and an EDSA survey form and reported that whilst they are on tour they arrived at Femi Turner drive they discovered that the accused person is stealing light.
The EDSA report form was produced and tender in court to form part of the prosecution’s case.
The witness further stated that statement was obtained from complainant on the 15th September 2021.
He said he interviewed the accused person himself and DPC Koroma A recorded the statement of the accused person, which he produced and tendered in court.
Prosecution witness number three Anthony Koroma 7115 attached at the Criminal Investigation Department EDSA unit he recalled on the 20th September 2021.
He said on that date he was in duty when A.W Jalloh charges the accused person with the offense of illegal Abstraction of Electricity Supply.
“My lord before obtaining his statement, the accused person was caution and question and at the end, his statement was read over to him and he admitted it to be true and correct and signed by affixing his right hand thumb print,” the witness stated.
The charge statement was produced and tendered in court
At the end of witness’s testimonies and the matter adjourned to the 7th December 2021.
