The Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) is busy at its data warehouse in Wellington cross checking the manual register as against the electronics register to clean up the actual voters register which is  expected  to be displayed six months before the conduct of the June 24 polls.

According to the Director of Media and Communications, Raymond George, the Commission would soon  issue a statement informing the general public about what came out of the registration and exhibition processes. He said they are currently working on the concerns raised during the exhibition so that at the end of the process,  there will be a clean electoral register.

Raymond George assured that the Commission has the capacity to fish out those under aged kids that tried to beat the system as well as those that did double registration. ” It is difficult to conclude now on the number of voters until we finish the cleaning up exercise “, George informed this medium. He assured  that that they are in conformity with the law. He stressed that the Commission has both electronics and manual registers to address the aspect of name/address issues captured during the exhibition exercise.

It could be recalled that the main opposition All Peoples Congress party (APC) had demanded for the lists of voters apportioned to each district or ward.
