Mohamed K. Konneh, Chief Electoral Commissioner of the Electoral Commission Sierra Leone ( ECSL) has on Monday 21st November said that the ECSL would start an exhibition process for voters.
He said that the exhibition process is for those that took part in the voting registration process to cross check if their address and phone number is correct.
“This exhibition process will commence from the 24th and it will end on the 28th November 2022,” said the Chief Electoral Commissioner.
He said that the law gave the commission forty days to do a cleaning up process before the commission does the final process for the voter’s registration, and they have also put aside five days to do the exhibition process.
Mohamed Konneh also stated that the commission is going to open all the three thousand six hundred and thirty centers across the country at once, instead of opening them by quarter wherein they will post the list on each center for one to go and cross check if their address and phone number is correct.
He also lamented that they are going to develop a mobile app that would help speed up with the process and for those that are out of the country to do their checking of details.
He also intimated that after the exhibition process is ended, they are going to do their final process on December 24th 2022.
He concluded that the distribution of the voter Identity cards would be on February 2023.
