The Rtd. Honourable Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament Honourable Dr. Sidie Mohamed Tunis, has on Friday the 24th of February 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the country’s maiden Commissioner General of National Land Service Commission, Sheikh S. Sowa at his New England Ville Office in Freetown.
In his statement, Honourable Tunis congratulated the Commissioner General, Sheikh S. Sowa, for a well-deserved appointment as Commissioner General of the aforementioned Commission by His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio.
The Rt. Honourable Speaker admonished the Lands Commissioner General that, his visit equally geared towards solidifying the family commitment to strengthen their relationship as brothers and statesmen from Pujehun District.
The ECOWAS Speaker also made an indelible promise to cascade similar visit to other Stakeholders in Pujehun District, especially those with presidential appointments in order to enhance progress at all levels.
On his part, the Commissioner General of the National Land Service Commission Sheikh S. Sowa, commended the ECOWAS Speaker for displaying such a laudable statesmanship by visiting his office as a brother.
Sheikh S. Sowa expressed endless elation for visit of the ECOWAS Speaker. He therefore, registered his profound thanks and appreciation to Honourable Tunis for the memorable visit. He indeed considered such visit as one of the means to help enhance strong family relationship among indigenes.
The two brothers discussed empowerment opportunity for the people of Pujehun District and Sierra Leone in general.
An emphatic discuss was saturated around the growth and development of Pujehun District and the country at large.
The meeting between the two statesmen and brothers was extremely fruitful and rewarding which has the propensity and alacrity, to help create sustainable impact on the well-being of citizens and also promote the New Direction Agenda, to an enviable state under the leadership of H.E President Julius Maada Bio.
