East End Lions Football Club on 12th February 2023 defeated Bai Bureh Warriors by a goal to nil at home at the Port Loko Mini Stadium to keep their desire for the title alive in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.

A goal scored in the 69th minute of play in the second half of play from Sulaiman S. Kargbo was enough to help the Killers secure the vital three points away from home, while the goal was assisted by Omaga Thoronka through the right wing.

The match started with high hope from both teams, as both secured vital chances in the first half but failed to convert any of the chances to the back of the net. In the second half, the Warriors cause so many problems for half of the visitors East End Lions Football Club, but they held on firmly  not to secure a goal.

East End Lions Football Club ended Bai Bureh Warriors Football Club’s home record as they were manhandled in their home for the first time.

At the Government Trade Center field, East End Tigers Football Club returns to winning ways as they defeated Diamond Stars by two goals to one (2-1) which earn nine points after 12 matches so far in the ongoing league. In the other match, Freetonians SLIFA FC settles for a goalless draw with Central Parade.

The Sierra Leone Premier League continues on Friday as Port Authority host East End Lions FC in the launch time kick-off.
