East End Lions have successfully secured the signing of Ghanaian forward Isaac Opoku Agyemang from FC Smartex 1996. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed to the public. Agyemang, who began his professional career with Lizbeth FC, moved to Ashanti Gold SC in 2019 before joining FC Smartex 1996 in February 2023 on a 2 and a half-year contract.
The 25-year-old forward had an impressive debut season in the Ghana Premier League, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists in 22 league appearances for Ashanti Gold SC. Agyemang also had a stint with Serbian side Partizan Belgrade on loan from Ashanti Gold SC between 2021.
It remains unclear whether Agyemang has joined East End Lions on loan from FC Smartex 1996 or has been signed on a permanent basis. However, what is certain is that he is the sixth Ghanaian player to join East End Lions during the period spanning from 2022 to 2024.
