East End Lions F.C Signs Samuel Kwaku Bekoe

East End Lions Football Club has confirmed the signing of former Inter-Allies and FC Johansen’s Ghanian Central Midfielder Samuel Kwaku Beko.

Samuel Beko 25, has joined the 14 times Sierra Premier League winners on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year as a free agent after leaving FC Johansen following a two-year start with the club.

 The 25-year-old will join his new team for Pre-season ahead of the 2022/2023 Premier League season.

After his signature, Samuel said, “I feel very excited about joining East End Lions Football Club and coming back to Sierra Leone and the love for the Country is a major factor behind my decision. I feel strong and passionate about Sierra Leone a Country I am so proud of, I received so many offers from other Sierra Leonean Clubs, but I believe East End Lions is the best for the Progress of my career.”

He furthered that, he knows a bit about this club and already has been an opponent on a few occasions in the last two seasons, its history with Chairman Footballers and so many other things. Now playing for a club like East End Lions Football a rich history and a great and entertaining fan base feels like a dream come true. The opportunity to work with Francis Zappa Koroma, a brilliant coach and some of the best players in Sierra Leone was simply too good to turn down, and can’t wait to return to Sierra Leone and join my teammates. Samuel said.

Samuel Kwaku Bekoe has developed into one of the best Central midfielders since he first came to Sierra Leone three years ago. In that period he won the most man of the match award and was named in the 2021/2022 Sierra Leone Premier League team of the season despite his side failing to make the top four.

East End Lions Club Chairman Ambassador Anthony Navo Junior described Samuel as” a fantastic signing with exceptional quality.”

 “He is a perfect fit in terms of the coach’s philosophy and the style of football he wants to play”, he added.

 East End Lions football club has a rich history with Ghanaian players the likes of Atto Mensah Co. And they have added two more Ghanaian players plus (7) seven local players to get their preparations on track ahead of the start of the Premier League.
