As two simultaneous cricket leagues bounce into the fourth week, newcomers Dun Dee Female Cricket Team continue to top the Sierra Leone Division-1 Women’s Cricket League table with stretching 3.540 net run rate.
The newcomers have played five games, won four, and tied one to compete at the summit with nine points.
Ten matches have so far been played in the league. Haja Konneh is leading the wicket-taking chart, dismissing five batters with Mabinty Sama following in the same breath. Beatrice is standing at four.
Top batters include Ramatu Kamara (64 runs), Mary Kamara (64 runs), and Mariama Jalloh (45 runs). Leading contenders for the Most Valuable Player award include Dun Dee’s Ramatu Kamara, averaging 12.976 and Haja Konneh of Cline Town, averaging 10.874. In the Men’s Division-1 League, Haryana are leading pool A while Crusaders Pool B.
From this side, top chasers for the Most Valuable Player award include Musa Kargbo of China Town, averaging 13.770 and Charles Kamara of Vintage, averaging 12.873.
Last year, Wanderers qualified to the country’s top tier league while Newton and Crusaders from the female side proceeded to the Women’s Premier League with bossy rates.
