A 24-year-old driver, Mohamed Condeh, has been remanded to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown. The decision was made by Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1.
Condeh faces a single count charge of murder, contrary to Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, as repealed and replaced by Section 1(a) of the schedule to the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act 2021 of Freetown, where the victim, Gbrilla Sankoh, was reportedly killed.
When the charge was read and explained, the defendant did not enter a plea.
Prosecutor Inspector Mabel M. Trawallie requested a short adjournment for further proceedings.
Magistrate Jah refused bail and remanded the defendant in custody. The case has been adjourned to 8 April 2026 for the next hearing.
