Twenty-seven-year-old motor driver Mohamed Dumbuya appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 on two charges: conspiracy to commit a crime, and shop breaking and larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of the offense, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Bathurst Street, Regent Highway, Mountain Rural District, Western Area, Freetown, the defendant allegedly conspired with others unknown to commit a felony, specifically shop breaking and larceny.
Count two of the charge states that on the same date and at the same location, the defendant allegedly entered the shop of Abu Bakarr Sesay and stole a total of Le 20,550 in cash and one black Itel Button phone valued at Le 350, amounting to a total value of Le 20,900.
When the charges were read and explained, the defendant did not enter a plea.
Prosecutor Brima Kargbo requested a short adjournment.
Magistrate Jah adjourned the matter to April 2, 2026, and the defendant’s bail was continued.
