25yrs old Alhaji Dumbuya a driver has on the 27th January, 2022 made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three court charges to wit wounding with intent contrary Wounding and assault.
According to the particulars of offence on Thursday 16th December 2021 at Olorshoro off Murray Town the western area in Freetown wounded Sahr pettiquoi with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and Assaulted the said complainant in a manner thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
Leading in evidence by Inspector Kadie M Taylor
First Prosecution witness (PW1), Sahr Pettiquoi, the witness said the accused stabbed him in the presence of his brother and he ran to Congo Cross police station and made report and he was issued with police medical request form for and explanation and treatment, the witness said the police took snap shot of him at the police station photographs of the complainant was produce and identified as Z1-4.
The witness said he was accompanied by a police officer to Connaught Hospital for examination and treatment at Connaught Hospital. PW1said was hospitalized for five day at the said hospital and he was given stitches at his left chin, his head, his shoulder, his side, his left back, and his left waist bone.
The witness also said he was issued with an endorsed medical report that was produced and tendered in court; marked as exhibit Y.
The witness said later he was called by the police that the accused has runaway and he made counter report against the accused person.
Counsel representing the accused person S. Campbell renewed his previous bail application on behalf of the accused person.
Magistrate Kekura giving his ruling that the evidence before him and the seriousness of the allegation against the accused person he refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown and matter adjourned to the 8th February 2022.
