The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) together with the Stakeholders in Luawa Chiefdom Kailahun District has disclosed plans of establishing a Chiefdom Disaster Management committee in Luawa Chiefdom , Kailahun District.
The Committee when establish will in no doubt cushion the potential dangers of the different kinds of disasters that may likely affect people living in that part of the country.
As a way of taking proactive steps , a training session for would be members of the Disaster Management committee has on Monday 30th May, 2022 ended in Luawa Chiefdom, Kailahun District. During the said training session, the Director Disaster Rick Reduction and Preparedness National Disaster Management committee Thomas Lebbie thanked the participants for their time and the knowledge gained in order to carry out their roles and responsibilities in the said committee.
Paramount Chief Sama Kalindo Banya among other stakeholders present expressed thanks and appreciation for the initiative of establishing the Disaster Management Committee in Luawa Chiefdom and Kailahun District as a whole.
