The family support unit (FSU) of the Sierra Leone police in Pujehun is currently investigating the deputy Imam of the Pujehun Central mosque for allegedly penetrating a nine year old girl in the aforementioned mosque toilet.
This was disclosed to this medium by the Community relations and media officer of the Pujehun police station ASP John Kainawa Square. ASP Square further disclosed that, the nine year old girl was allegedly penetrated by a forty-two (42) year old Mustapha Rogers who is reported to be the deputy Imam of the Pujehun Central mosque and also a teacher of Sulum primary school in Pujehun.
The ugly development according to police source took place on 5th June 2024 at around 9:00am. As a result of the penetration the survivor was complaining of pain in her virgina and stomach and upon receiving the information at the Pujehun police station the Detective police officers led by Detective Inspector Sylverlie John left the station in search of the suspect and was arrested at his residence in Pujehun.
The survivor according to report was given a duplicated police medical request form to be examined and treated at the Pujehun government hospital, while the suspect Mustapha Rogers is in police custody helping them in their investigation.
However, the community relations and media officer of the Pujehun police station ASP John Kainawa Square cautioned all parents in Sierra Leone to take proper care of their children to avoid such reoccurrence.
