The Newly appointed deputy Minister 2 of the Ministry of Finance, Bockarie Kalokoh has on the 1st February 2022 through support from the Sierra Leone Fishing Company fulfilled his promise of gifting $ 28,000 to Leone Stars.
Early on Kalokoh made a promise to the 28-man squad of the National Team with a challenge that they at least get a draw with Sierra Leone’s first AFCON 2021 match against defending champion Algeria which eventually ended in goalless.
The former MD of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank presents the money to the SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima through the Minister of Sports Ibrahim Nylenkeh at the Lagaonda Complex during a thank-you dinner in honor of Leone Stars.
The Scribe of the Sierra Leone Football Association who is present at the event said as the Football Association they are going to do the needful with no time to waste but to do the distribution to the players of the National team.
Leone Stars will start another 2023 AFCON qualifiers in June when the group stage will start.
