The Deputy Chairman of Bo District Council (BoDC), Martin Morie Bockarie Goba, has launched in two wards the construction of 16 culverts in Bumpeh Ngao Chiefdom.
Part of the launching process according to the Chief Administrator of BoDC, Mr Abdul Koroma, is to see that contractors who have been awarded these contracts do their work conscientiously, accurately and to the gratification of the Council and the community people.
Handing over the two contractors, Martin Goba admonished authorities in Ward 284 Sahn Village and Ward 285 Banda Taninahun Village respectively that the Council cannot allow contractors to work in any Ward/Community without introducing them as contractors to the community people and what will be their scope of work.
This is why he said, the Chairman of BoDC; Joseph Munda Bindi has instructed him (Goba) to hand over these contractors in order for them as Community people to own the process.
The Deputy Chairman continued that the overall goal of these projects is to improve on Maternal & Child Infant Health in the Chiefdom (as Medical Drugs will be transported into these PHUs), safe traveling and improve on Free Quality Education.
In Ward 284, the construction of these culverts according to Councillor Andrew P. Moseray will connect villages like Mojiba, Pilawahun, Jinnah, Mogbonda and Njala, while in Ward 285, according to Councillor Morie K. Ansumana, the Council will connect Sahn Junction, Bo Mattru Highway to Bandassa village.
The construction and rehabilitation of Feeder Roads have been devolved to Bo District Council while the Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA) has been aiding the Council to undertake these functions.

From Mojiba Junction to Banda Taninahun: the Council will construct 8 Single Box Culverts.
IN WARD 284
From Sahn Junction to Bandassa: the Council is also constructing 8 Single Box Culverts.
