Reports from Koinadugu and Falaba District states that the untimely arrival of examination materials at the designated centers is seriously affecting the ongoing West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in that part of the country.
In an interview with A-Z the Supervisors of the respective Examination centers described the said situation as complex because it is seriously disturbing the ongoing (WASSCE) as time is very important for any examination.
They maintained that the late arrival of examination materials at the designated Centres in the aforementioned districts is as a result of the deplorable road network coupled with the far distances among the towns where the designated centres for the ongoing examination are located.
The supervisors of the ongoing WASSCE in Koinadugu and Falaba Districts pointed out that after the drivers have spent the rest of the day transporting the examination materials at the respective Centers, Pupils writing the exams only get access to the materials in the evening a situation which they described as very unfortunate. They have therefore pleaded with the ministry of education to be reasonable with the pupils especially in the situation where candidate names are not properly spelt, or mismatch of names among many other examination related challenges.
