Mustapha Kamara, a 21-year-old decorator, appeared before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon at Pademba Road Court No. 3 in Freetown on a charge of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offense, on Thursday, 15th May 2025, at #2 Bismaele Johnson Street, Western Area, Freetown, Kamara allegedly stole a Tecno Spark 10 mobile phone valued at three thousand Leones (3,000) belonging to Hawa Kamara.
When the charge was read and explained to him, the accused pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutor DPC 12090 Zanib Bangura requested a short adjournment as the witness was absent from court.
Magistrate Kallon warned the prosecutor that if the witness fails to appear on the next adjourned date, the case will be dismissed for want of prosecution. The accused was remanded to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to 5th June 2025.
