Sia Jarieu Bayoh Morsay one of the daughters of the soil of Kono District has been appointed as the Commonwealth Chairperson and Brand Ambassador of Afrimoney in Sierra Leone. She said her appointment as the Commonwealth Chairperson and Brand Ambassador of Afrimoney came as a result of her consistent Interactions with women in various activities in making sure that women across the Country are emancipated from what she described as “difficult living condition” Noting it is on that background, she was spotted and appointed to serve in the aforesaid Positions. Miss Morsay further explained that, the appointment will accelerate her moves and to serve as an auxiliary to solving most of the challenges women in Sierra Leone are faced with. She noted that the lives of women in Sierra Leone needed to be improved and it must start now.
“It is very important now for the government of Sierra Leone, stakeholders,NGOS and / INGOS to set plans in order to add value in the lives of women in the Country that will make them self-reliance” she stressed. The newly appointed Commonwealth Chairperson and Brand Ambassador of Afrimoney Sia Jarieu Bayoh Morsay continued to explain that access to cash loan through Afrimoney, access to travelling opportunities in the Commonwealth Nations,scholarships with Commonwealth organizations and many others are some of the opportunities members of the organization are going to be exposed to.
He said one could only be a potential beneficiary of the above opportunities of the Commonwealth organization if only he or she is a registered member of the Commonwealth Business Women Network (CBWN) and at the same time has Afrimoney account.
“Should anybody want to be part of the Commonwealth Business Women Network” Ten Leones (NLE 10,000) is the registration fees and the monthly contribution is five Leones (NLE 5,000) the head of the commonwealth Business Women Networks explained.
She further encouraged women in Kono District and the Country as a whole to register with the Network and benefit a lot from the Commonwealth organization during her six years tenure of office.
