Daniel Deen Sesay scored in each half to hand Coach Lamin’s U-17 side a 2-0 win against highly rated Kebbie FC on Saturday at the Bassan Town Field, Waterloo.

Daniel scored the first goal in the 36 minutes of the game as he coolly finished a beautiful pass from Mohamed Y. Sesay’s cross inside the box.

The Sierra Stars kept possession for the majority part of the entire first half, and that resulted in the first goal.

The first half ended in favor of the Sierra Stars but Kebbie FC U-17 came back from the break very much poised for an equalizer.

The Sierra Stars pressed to extend their lead but the Kebbie U-17 defense denied them on several occasions as they possessed the ball through the wing-backs.

Coach Lamin made some changes to bring stability to the team – Abdulai T. Gbendeva, Amadu Dumbuya, Abu Bakarr Turay, and Kellyella Massaquoi are names of fresh legs brought into the second half.

Daniel walked the ball into the back of the net in the 75th minute after a sublime build-up from Mohamed Lamin Sumah. Daniel’s volleyed header restored no hope for the Kebbie boys in their pursuit of solace.

Kebbie U-17 changed their approach to the game as they bombed forward and attacked the Sierra Stars’ goal area in search of a consolation but the array of attacks resulted in nothing as the match ended 2-0.
