The cyber Officer detective inspector Mohamed Jusu in cross examination by lead defense counsel Joesph Fitzgerald Kamara has said from his observation, the Mayor was addressing the public on her experience
Mohamed Jusu, told the Court that he has been a police officer for seventeen uninterrupted years and has served in the Cyber Unit of the Sierra Leone Police for twelve years.
He also stated that his qualifications, includes certificate and diplomas, but not bachelors degree.
In another question put to him by the defence he revealed that he has done several forensic reports and in October this year he was opportune to do a report in respect of this case.
Lawyer Fitzgerald Kamara refered the witness to page one of the report which indicates that he should forensically analyze the drive. The witness agreed with lawyer Kamara that forensic analysis is test, which must be derived from observation.
The witness furthered that he reviewed the video was according to him has being played in the last court sitting.
On the footage which was displayed in court, defence counsel putting a questions to the witness that on the 11th October he combined his findings on forensic analysis, the witness responded in the affamative.
He went into state that on his analysis the video was in the public.
Confronting the witness more on the vedio, defense counsel from what was presented in court, the Mayor was addressing the public on her experience a bit which was confirmed by the witness.
He said the Mayor was addressing the public about the work of the police, which he agreed was her right and not unlawful.
The cyber Officer also confirmed to the court during cross examination that in the video, the Mayor did touch any police officer, but prevented them from doing there lawful duties.
Questioning his integrity, the cyber Officer told the court that he is competent and experienced in doing what he presented before the court.
Defence counsel told the witness to take a look at the report they indicated Turmoil and in the video there is nothing like that, but the accused said the above was what he was told by those who are present at the crime scene.
The cyber Officer denied being baiased on the obesrvation and report he made concerning that alleged matter that was before the court.
According to the report, the cyber Officer stated that the mayor was very hungry and aggressive during the alleged incident and when questioned by the defense to describe what he uused to arrived on that in his report, he responded that he wrote the said report from what he observed.
When asked if the mayor acted violently, he responded in the negative.
Concluding, the witness confirmed that looking at the body language of the Councillor, it has nothing to do with the Mayor for the police not to obtained statement from him.
After cross examination state counsel Y.I Sesay informed the Bench that he intend to dock his last witness before closing his case.
At the conclusion of cross examination magistrate Ngegba adjourned the matter to the 14th November 2022 for further hearings.
