Victims of 20 Expro, another entity involved in crypto currency business in Bo say they have been threatened with divorce by their husbands for the loss of their hard money in the scam.
The women are therefore calling on the government to help them recover their money and save their marriages.
A-Z reliably learnt that some of the customers invested in the business without the knowledge of their husbands and they are worried whether they will get their monies with information that the Chief Executive Officer is reportedly on the run.
Some of the customers said that since the Bank of Sierra Leone issued a press release to terminate the operations of unlicensed business organizations involved in Crypto currency, it has been difficult for them to invest and recover their money.
Brima Jusu who claimed to have invested Le10 million in the crypto currency business with 20 Expro disclosed that he did not inform his wife about it and his wife has threatened to go into divorce or separation.
“I am the wife of Brima Jusu, I have told him that I will move out of the relationships if I do not get my hard earned money I gave to him for safe keeping,’’ Mrs. Brima said in an angry mood.
Juliet Saffa another customer said that it has taken her one month without having a sound sleep as she is grieving over the money that was actuall meant for their children school and college fee.
Reacting to the allegations in a telephone interview from his hideout, the Chief Executive of 20 Expro said that he is not at large but resides within Bo city and claimed that what has made him not to go to the office is because of the pressure to pay back the customers even though he had told them to exercise patience.
Joseph Kargbo said that since the Bank of Sierra Leone`s Press release was out, the company`s account at the Eco Bank has been frozen.
“The bank officials have told us that Financial Intelligent Unit has instructed them not to give us the money.’’
According to Mr. Kargbo\: “I am in a critical situation and the customers are threatening us every day but I want them to know that the money at the bank will not be able to pay them as i rely on other investors to come and bail me out. The business has not been on a sound footing because we have not been getting customers on a regular basis,’’
