The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has on the 7th July 2022 issued a press release on the withdrawal testing of COVID-19 for inbound and outbound passengers.

The presidential task force on Covid-19 has in a press release directed that covid-19 testing for inbound and outbound passengers is withdrawn until further notice.

The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has revised the covid-19 guidelines which states that all Inbound and Outbound passengers must register on the travel portal www.travelgov.sl before travelling in and out of Sierra Leone.

It further states that all Inbound and Outbound passengers aged 12 and above are encouraged to be fully vaccinated at least fourteen days prior to travelling.

It also states that fully vaccinated inbound and outbound passengers with valid proof of covid-19 vaccination will no longer be required to take a pre-departure or pre-arrival covid-19 PCR test.

The public is reminded that the Covid-19 is not yet over and it is in the interest of all to continue wearing face mask as appropriate, maintain hand hygiene, practice social distancing and be fully vaccinated.
