According to the particulars of the offence, between 1st and 30th September 2025, at Casava Farm, Leicester Village, Freetown, in the Western Area of Sierra Leone, Macauley allegedly fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property entrusted to him by Yusuf Turay for the purpose of delivering it to Fatmata Kajua.

The property in question included one mixer, valued at Le 4,500, one slave amplifier, valued at Le 6,000 and assorted speaker cables, valued at Le 400

The total value of the items amounted to Le 10,900.

When the charge was read and explained to Macauley, he did not enter a plea.

The prosecutor, Sergeant 1306 Sesay A.B., served the defendant with the necessary documents, including his statement.

Macauley was not legally represented during the proceedings. He was given the opportunity to cross-examine the complainant and the witness but informed the court that he had read the complainant’s statement and did not have any questions for her.

Magistrate Kandeh withdrew the case file for ruling and remanded the defendant to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown.

The case has been adjourned to 21st November 2025 for the ruling.
