John Mohamed Joe a Tiller made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown, on one count charge to wit fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (i) (iv) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Tuesday 9th February 2023 at Kingtom in the Western Area in Freetown, Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say one Computer and its charger valued one thousand five hundred Leones(1, 500) entrusted to him by Salieu Amara Kamara for the purpose of safe keeping property of the said Salieu Amara Kamara.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person but no plea was taken. The complainant Salieu Amara Kamara told the court that he would not pursue his case against the accused person. Due to that, Magistrate Gogra discharged the accused person.
