Comoros Football Federation has on the 4th November 2021 announced that the Coelacanths will play Sierra Leone in a crunch international friendly on 13th November 2021 in Turkey.
The match will be played in Turkey during the International break in November this month. Both nations have already qualified for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.
According to the message it “Comoros Officially have an opponent for a friendly meeting, an agreement has been reached with Sierra Leone for an internship in Turkey,” said Saied Ali Athouman, the President of the Comoros Football Federation(CFF).
It continues that “Preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations, the Leone Stars will therefore be the next Sparring partner of the Coelacanths.” The friendly encounter is scheduled for November 13th, 2021 in Istanbul; talks are underway with the Gambia to provide Amir Abdou’s men with a possible second meeting. It could take place either in the Turkish Capital or in Antalya.
According to the Vice President, one of the Sierra Leone Football Association Leone Stars will look at the Possibility to add one more before the team departs for its final camping ahead Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.
