Commercial motorbike rider to face High Court

Daniel Jah a Commercial motorbike rider made his twenty three appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.3 in Freetown on one a count of Larceny in a Dwelling house contrary to section 13 (a) of the Larceny Act 1916

According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 15th May 2022 at No.55 Edmans drive off Regent Road the western area in Freetown with intent to steal entered the Dwelling house of Joseph Kamara and stole therein the sum of twenty six million six hundred and forty two thousand Leones(26,642,000) Pro of the said Joseph Kamara

On the first appearance of the accused person the charge was read and explained and he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecution led five witnesses including the factual witness.

However, Magistrate Bangura said due to the statement made by the accused and the Prosecution witnesses he is of the view to warrant a commital of the accused person.  Matter was committed to High Court for trial, while Deputy Superintendent of police Sorie Conteh prosecuted the matter.
