The Teacher- In -Charge of Conducting Assembly at the Christ the King College, Michael Mbeteh has disclosed that pupils in the Senior Seconadry School(SSS) Arts 1 and 2  have  been suspended for two weeks for academic offences ranging from misbehavior to absenteeism   from School.

He made this statement in an interview shortly after addressing the pupils yesterday.

Mr. Mbeteh told the current pupils that they should put up good behavior on campus as disciplinary action will be taken against pupils who do not conform to the rules and regulations of the school.

“This is a catholic institution and we operate the school based on long cherished  Catholic tradition. He added that the Catholic Mission has existed for over two thousand years “and we have never begged anybody, but the church is still existing with the grace of God, ’he said.

Mr. Mbeteh in an angry mood told the pupil that: “we are not happy with some of  you and in fact there will not be any revision for exams.’’

He however cautioned the pupils to behave well and conform to the rules and regulations of the school.

Speaking to medium on the condition of anonymity ,  some of the  senior pupils of the  school spoke ill about their colleagues who are in the habit of not coming to school on time and some do not even attend and the want to pass examination.

According to them, even though their colleagues have misbehaved, the school administration should temper justice with mercy and give them the second chance, adding that this is a catholic institution where forgiveness is preached even during devotion.

A parent, Solomon Fofananh who accompanied his son to  the school on a bike  said that : ‘’I like CKC for being so disciplined  and If my child  that I brought to school misbehaves, let disciplinary action be taken against him.’’

Mr. Fofanah called on the other parents to help discipline their children at home “as these pupils spend most of their time with their parents.”
