Abdul Sesay Civil Engineer has been brought to Court by one Eric Sam Kabba who is dealing in shipping for obtaining money from him for land.
The accused Abdul Sesay, on Wednesday 12th January 2022, appeared before Magistrate Abdul Rashid Jalloh of Pademba road Court No 4 in Freetown on four counts, three count ranging from obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916 and a count of causing money to be paid contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to count 1 and 3, the accused Abdul Sesay on a date unknown between the 1st January and 31st July 2019, at Fourah Bay Road and No.1 Osman drive Adonkia, Freetown, obtained the sum of seventy million five hundred thousand Leones by falsely pretending that he has a land for sale at No. 2 River for sale, which is known to be false.
On count 4 the accused on a date between 1st January and 31st July 2019, at No. 1 Osman drive Adonkia, Freetown, with intent to defraud caused money to be paid by Eric Sam Kabba, to sign survey site plan valued at two million Leones as a document for the said land which is four town lots, knowing to be false.
However, the accused person was granted bail in the sum of one hundred million Leones or two sureties in like sum sureties must be elderly and responsible citizen the said sureties to produce valid identity card depicting his/her addresses in Freetown and bail to be approved by the Deputy Acting Registrar Assistant.
The matter has been adjourned to the 19th January 2022; Deputy Superintendent Moses Moore is Prosecuting the matter.
