Slppians and their supporters would have been wondering about the political status of the SLPP Deputy Speaker who made that statement in parliament. Was he about to cross over to the opposition or was it a slip of the tongue? It was none of that. It was simply REALITY. Tell it as it is. Call a spade a spade. It’s no use waxing in circumlocutions. If we sought to speak the truth in most matters this country would have been a better place.

His statement on the hardship in the country was buttressed by no less a person than the Speaker of Parliament himself.

Economic hardship is being lamented everywhere affecting the government and opposition alike and it’s no use shielding that fact, people without elementary knowledge of economics have been blabbing about price control. They would not understand that it is ineffective and that market forces are the deciding factors. Due to the pandemic shipping costs and lack of foreign exchange are all in the mix.

The opposition press is striving to exclude external factors to give the impression that inflation is entirely due to the SLPP. They also denote that things are OK in other countries. That is unfair criticism.

It is destructive and dangerous coconut- headed critics in their idle state even wish that Dr. Julius Maada Bio should not be flag bearer. Serious joke isn’t it? That is not the way to criticize. At the point in time whom are they nominating to be the beatable flag bearer? Do they want the SLPP to be in a selective-clause situation like that of the Samura Kamara? Came on opposition jokers!

SLPP are honest and forthright. It is good to be introspective. The APC never once criticized their own policies. They never told their tin god that removing Sam Sumana from the Vice –Presidency as wrong. Let us be admitting where we are wrong and make amends. Let us follow the path of SLPP of self-criticism

Nigeria or Kidnapia?

If we are to call places or things by what happens it is high time that we thought of renaming Nigeria as Kidnapia. The reason is obvious. The syndrome started by stealth by miscreants who labeled themselves as Boko Haram. They have gradually been spreading like cancer and have now engulfed the whole country not sparing the capital. The only good thing about their kidnappings if you could call it that is that they do not kidnap for ritual purpose but for ransom. The other good thing is that the kidnap syndrome has not spilled over to neighbouring countries like Cameroon, Togo or Benin. So we wonder what species if human are the kidnappers? Do they belong to a single tribe or are they multi-tribal? There are hypocritical people who started out by saying they would not use anything Western. But the bikes, guns and uniform are all Western. So whom are they fooling? They are posing to be Muslim whereas in fact they are infidels.

Thanks to God that the Boko Haram menaces is for now encapsulated within Kidnapia. It is the spreading of insecurity that is most sinister. Having reached Abuja the capital where else? Now no one is quite safe in Nigeria. And when you consider that there are millions of other nationals your fears are well grounded. The lives of our diplomats and other Sierra Leoneans there concern us.

The Buhari regime considering that the President himself is an ex-soldier who had promised to stop, the menace is in a dilemma. Nigeria should not be kidnapia.

UNISA CONTEH: WANTED SIERRA LEONEAN ON THE RUN

The rationale for emigration is not only for the usual greener pastures or political reasons but also socio-economic reasons.

Thus it was that a Sierra Leonean Unisa Conteh was forced to escape from Matindi Village in the Western Area Rural from the dreaded secret Poro society through many labyrinths until he fled country for dear life. Any longer stay in the country could have been detrimental to his life.

On the 22nd April 2017 there was pandemonium in Matindi Village and Unisa Conteh was one of those being sought to be initiated. Fortunately, he escaped and finally landed in Germany.

If he had not escaped he may not have been alive by now. Sometimes initiated get missing and relatives or family members are told they are eaten by the “devil”.

His repatriation would be regarded as man’s inhumanity to man which is one of the greatest thoughts in the universe. We happened to come across the pathetic case of Unisa Conteh through our investigation networks. This is one case in which the magnanimous policy of Germany refugees could be demonstrated.

As at now Unisa Conteh is suffering from stress with bated breath. It’s like the Sword of Damocles hanging over him until the day that his asylum request is granted.
