In his adamant quest to reform and digitalize the Immigration Office, the Newly Appointed Chief Immigration Officer Hon. Alusine Kanneh has made a courtesy call on the Deputy Chinese Ambassador to support the Immigration Office with technological equipment of which the Deputy Chinese Ambassador has graciously accepted the nationalistic request made by the Chief Immigration Office to render unwavering support geared towards the digitalization and reformation of the Immigration Office.

Explaining the important of the meeting held with the Deputy Chinese Ambassador, the New Chief Immigration Officer Hon. Alusine Janneh unearth that the Deputy Chinese Ambassador decide to pay courtesy call due to his request he presented to the Chenese ambassador to help the institution to be digitalized and reform the institution. The Chief Immigration Officer intimated that he is seeking for help in fulfilment of digital dream so that the institution would relate to difference countries of which China is one of those countries.

Hon. Alusine Kanneh assured that his primarily focus to transform the institution so that it would become a better place for all and sundry. He disclosed that the Deputy Chinese Ambassador has given mesmerizing words of support towards the digitalization of the immigration office.  He said the Immigration Office is deprived in terms of in terms of logistics which geared towards   the efficacious operation of the institution. He also expressed elation that the Deputy Chinese Ambassador had nodded to provide the necessary support the institution needs.

‘’ This is how it supposed to be when it comes to leadership. You reach out to people when you need supports for your institution. China has been a good Friend of Sierra Leone and I am Happy this morning that the Deputy Chinese Ambassador is here to pay courtesy to me and to pledge support towards the growth of the Immigration Office and I want to say thank you to the Government of the People’s Republic of China’’, said Chief Immigration Officer. In his statement, the Deputy Chinese Ambassador Li Xiaoyong expressed that he felt elated for the outreach made by the Chief Immigration. He assured the Chief Immigration Office that the Chinese Government would support him in order to achieve his digitalization drive.  He expressed that he cherished the professional and personal relationship he had with the Chief Immigration Officer.  He assured that the Chinese Government would continue to support the Chief Immigration Officer in his reformation and digitalization of the drive
