Chinese Embassy Donates to A-Z Multimedia

The Chinese Embassy in Freetown has made a modest but essential donation to the A-Z Multimedia in the spirit of cementing shared goal of serving the people of Sierra Leone.

The donated items included desktop Lenovo computer, printer and inkjets, recorders and an assortment of other goodies.

The donation was based on request made by the A-Z Multimedia CEO Dr. Ibrahim Seibure who expressed gaps in logistics as the media entity looks forward to scale up its pro people coverage of Sierra Leone.

The donation was made at the Chinese Embassy where A-Z management Team led by Dr. Seibure, Editorial Consultant Albert Baron Ansu and Editor James Kamara Manneh were received by Head of Political Section who ensured that the team had audience with the Minister Counselor Li Xiaoyang.

On behalf of Ambassador Hu, Counsellor Li Xiaaoyang said that the modest decision is to contribute to the flow of factual and accurate information that the people and outside world need to know what China is doing that benefit Sierra Leone and the rest of the world. He said A-Z represents a window and bridge to create public understanding about a range of issues that connect China and Sierra Leone. He said they are appreciative o what f A-Z is doing and expressed the hope that media outlet will do even better. He pointed out that mass media is critical in connecting with the world and spreading of global objectives including the representation of different opinions by presenting the complete picture based on good judgment. He said the engagement with A-Z is an inspiration for our public relations.

CEO Dr. Ibrahim Seibure delivered a vote of thanks, indicating that he is an evidence of the transformative power of China. He spoke on the game changing agenda of A-Z with the inclination to showcase development in Sierra Leone and global scene. He reassured that A-Z is in the process of expansion to have online presence and will sustain the accurate coverage of China for better public understanding.
