The Chief Minister has reached out to Section Chiefs in Kakua Chiefdom with a message of hope and trust in the leadership of His Excellency the President Dr. Rtd Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.
In an opening remark the Resident Minister South Mohamed Alie who also doubles as SLPP District Chairman introduced the Section Chiefs of Kakua to the Chief Minister. He used the opportunity to thank them for the support they had offered him this far as Resident Minister.
Paramount Chief of Kakua Prince Lappia Boima thanked the Chief Minister for this brilliant initiative in taking time off to engage with local authorities. He said this was the first time the presidency has purposively come to them with updates on activities of government.
In his remarks the Chief Minister assured the Paramount Chief and his Section Chiefs that the president keeps them in his thoughts. He said his visit is a reflection of the fact of progressive engagement with local authorities.
He reminded them that Kakua is the capital of the South and it is the desire of the government to be interested in the upward developmental mobility of the chiefdom.
He said development is evident in Bo on many fronts including the hospitality and construction sectors, where gains have been made with cascading effect on the local economy, citing ongoing and completed road works in the city.
The section Chiefs thanked the Chief Minister for this novel idea in taking governance to the people. They said they feel recognized by the singular act of the visit of the chief minister and expressed the hope that this sort of interaction can be sustained.
