The Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, is set to lead a seven-member delegation on a crucial visit to Washington DC. The delegation, comprising prominent figures from Sierra Leone’s political and civil society landscape, aims to engage in high-level consultations with senior members of the United States Executive Branch, Congress, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The focus of these discussions is on Sierra Leone’s commitment to implementing the “Agreement of National Unity” and pursuing electoral reforms.

The delegation includes Honorable Abdul Kargbo, leader of the All-People’s Congress (APC) party in Parliament, demonstrating a united front in Sierra Leone’s pursuit of national progress. Other esteemed members include Minister of Foreign Affairs, Timothy Kabba, Majority Leader in Parliament, Honorable Matthew Nyuma, civil society representative Abdul M Fatoma, and Prince Coker, President of the All-Political Parties Association. Ndeye Koroma, CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Unit – Sierra Leone, also contributes valuable insights.

This visit holds great significance for deepening ties between Sierra Leone and the United States. The delegation will engage in extensive consultations with senior members of the Executive Branch and Congress, as well as officials from the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
