Chief Minister Dr. David Moininah Sengeh, unveiled an ambitious plan for the nation’s digital future at the World Government Summit in Dubai today. The plan, which focuses on achieving 100% 3G connectivity, aims to revolutionize Sierra Leone’s digital landscape and propel it into a new era of technological advancement.

In his keynote speech, Dr. Sengeh outlined the government’s commitment to digitization, emphasizing its potential to transform the country’s socio-economic fabric. The plan includes the One Government policy, Radical Inclusion initiative, and alignment with President Bio’s Big 5 vision, targeting sectors such as healthcare, education, governance, and infrastructure.

Under the One Government policy, Sierra Leone aims to integrate all public services into a seamless digital platform, streamlining processes, reducing corruption, and enhancing transparency. The government also plans to prioritize inclusivity, bridging the digital divide to ensure even marginalized communities have equal access to digital services.

The implementation of Radical Inclusion will empower citizens to participate in policy-making processes and decision-making through technology. President Bio’s Big 5 vision, focusing on agriculture, fisheries, tourism, infrastructure, and human capital development, aligns with the digitization efforts to drive sustainable growth and economic diversification.

International experts have lauded Sierra Leone’s bold digitization agenda, recognizing its commitment to leveraging technology for inclusive development. As the Chief Minister concluded his speech, the world awaits the tangible outcomes of these visionary initiatives, envisioning a technologically empowered future for Sierra Leone.
