The Chief Justice of Sierra Leone, His Lordship Honourable Justice Komba Kamanda, has arrived in Cairo to participate in the Ninth Cairo High-Level Meeting of the Presidents of African Constitutional Courts, Supreme Courts, and Constitutional Councils in Cairo, Egypt on Friday 7 February 2026
Upon arrival at the Cairo International Airport, Honourable Chief Justice Kamanda was received by officials of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with officers from the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Egypt.
The high-level judicial meeting is scheduled to take place from 7-8 February 2026 at the St. Regis Hotel, located in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. The forum brings together Chief Justices and Presidents of Constitutional Courts from across Africa and other parts of the world to deliberate on key issues affecting constitutionalism, judicial independence, and the rule of law.
Notably, Chief Justice Kamanda is among a select group of Chief Justices invited to deliver a statement at this prestigious gathering, underscoring Sierra Leone’s growing influence in continental and global judicial discourse.
