21 years old Mohamed Sankoh, first born of Usman Sankoh Chief Inspector of the Sierra Leone police attached to the Motema Police Divisional headquarters in Nimikoro chiefdom Kono district was in the early hours of Saturday 1st of July 2023 found with multiple wounds all over his body along council road in Koidu city Kono district battling between life and death.

According to on lookers account Mohamed Sankoh was believed to be a thief who was caught on the height and was allegedly tortured by unknown people and left laid on the street at the mercy of passersby who later died.

In an interview with the biological father of the deceased chief inspector of police Usman Sankoh noted that whilst he was in Freetown someone called on his phone and reported that his son was found laying in a pool of blood on council road in Koidu city Kono district hovering between life and death and later sent to him the reported information in a video form.

Mr Sankoh maintained that upon hearing the said information he straight off told the caller whom his dieing son gave his number to inform him about his predicament to covey his son to the Koidu Government hospital for treatment noting upon his arrival in Kono district and at the Koidu Government hospital he was told that his son has passed off and his remains were at the mortuary.

He debunked the allegation of his son been a thief because he recently bought for him a motorbike and musical set for commercial purposes and was surprised to be told that his son was caught stealing and tortured to death.

The father further pointed out that according to the video of his son sent to him whilst struggling to give up the ghost indicated that his son alleged to have stolen a vehicle battery from one of his friends and as a result he was caught along council road in Koidu city and tortured to death by unknown people.

The deceased father said the problem with his son was that he was very stubborn and fun of fighting but was never a thief as alleged.

Meanwhile the remains of Mohamed Sankoh have been handed over to his family members for burial whilst police investigation into the matter is yet questionable because the father being a Muslim has described the incident as his son’s fate noting Allah will fight for him and his entire family.
