The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority has informed its valued customers in Bo /Kenema that due to loss of power transmission on the 225kV TRANSCO/CLSG line between MAN (in Ivory Coast) and-Tiloms (Kenema), there would be temporal interruption of electricity supply to the two cities.
A notice from the Public Relations Officer of EDSA, South and eastern regions Mohamed Sheriff Indicated that “in a bid to satisfy our customers, the Authority would like to inform the public that our technical team is currently working to get the said problem addressed.”
The notice added that the Authority is sorry for any inconvenience this situation may have caused with much thanks to customers for their patience and understanding as we continue to serve them better.
Residents of Bo however commended the management of EDSA for their updates and encouraged them to continue with the good work.
Thomas Koroma said that they don’t need to politicize CLSG light as the government doesn’t have total control over its supply as it is coming from another country, Ivory Coast as a main source of supply.
Brima said that even though there was total blackout on Tuesday night we can show understanding, adding that “this is a major development in the area of energy, particularly when he get sustainable power supply within four or five days uninterrupted.
“The challenges he said are bound to come but hope it can be speedily addressed.
